Surprisingly easy to install, need no special tools, actually a rather elegant design.

These are much cheaper and easier to get ahead of time before your coils start failing, so I'd advise that you do if you're coils are close to changing. They're the standard and they go on pretty easy. I had my coil fail and the nearest auto parts store was charging me $150 for one coil! These are life savers (and money savers too).

I purchased these and they sat while I rebuilt my engine, so I passed the return window. Every since I installed my engine I have had power issues and when I checked, coils in cylinder 1, 9, 3 are misfiring and giving up to 4 misfire codes. They act fine until they get hot, then my truck starts shaking at lower rps after about 15 minutes of driving.I cant return these anymore so I am just posting this to help the next guy. Spend the money on quality.

I recently had major performance issues with my 2009 Smart. Running on 2 of the 3 cylinders. I plugged my ODBM reader and got P0301 misfire on cylinder 3. My Smart has 109,000 miles on it. I had no idea when or if the plugs had ever been changed. I had new plugs for it already but decided to go a step further and install new coil packs as well. They are kind of a pain to install but the car runs perfectly now and I was able to clear the P0301 code. Perfect fit for the coil packs.

I replaced these in my 2001 Land Rover disco 2. I had misfires on 3 cylinders and by replacing these, I got 2 misfires to stop! The cylinders were on the same coil pack so it made sense. My disco drives a lot smoother now and they seemed to be a little more slim than the stock ones so they were way easier to reinstall than the old ones.

Did not stop the vibrating idle at stoplight, but engine starts much quicker now, after 145,000 miles.

Worked great in my 2014 Kia soul. Much cheaper then going to auto parts store.
