Good idea for weak or sore hands
My wife is in the early stages of arthritis and this makes it so much easier for her to open jars. This is the best one we've tried.

Junk
Lever doesn’t lock into place, so it doesn’t grip the lid firmly, if at all. Total waste of money.

This works but......
This device will open those large lid jars. It is somewhat problematic. When you try to attach it to the lid, it is not easy. The lever does not have enough travel to make a proper grip on the lid. However, for old people like myself with weak hands I can make this work enough to get at our food. I will also say that as far as I know there is no other product out there that works better than this. I bought 2 other devices to open jars when I bought this one. One will work well on small jars, the other was just a throw away. So, do not expect to magically open your large jars, You will have to work at it. But be patient and keep trying, eventually it will open without hurting your hands.

What Seniors need
Works better than I expected. As you grow older it becomes harder to open jars and bottles. I tried many other types and this one does the job.

Hard to Use
Especially without directions. Found it hard to really get a grip on the lid without a lot of trying and never really got it.

Works well to open jars and sipper cups
I got this to help us open stuck jars. It turns out to work well on insulated cups too. It takes a bit of getting use to, getting everything to work in your hands, but once you do, it is great.
