I am someone who loves movies and music. So I appreciate when I purchase a product that sounds as good as what this Philips sound bar does. Phillips has an app, to change settings for music , movies and with or without Dolby! When I turn on my Roku television, the sound bar automatically turns on. I can control the audio level from my Roku remote. It came with a remote from Phillips, but you don’t have to use both, which is a great convenience.I play music from Spotify, and my CD collection, which sounds great at any sound level up to 100% with no distortion.I did a lot of research before I purchased the sound bar and compared other sound bars made by Roku as well. This is a top quality sound bar, and it was easy to set up!I purchased this for under $100 which was a steal before Christmas! Well worth the money.

For the money this is a pretty good sound bar. If you are looking for total surround sound or something that you can thump your walls, you will want to get something else. It meets my needs for now, has good sound and is definitely better than the sound from the TV. It was easy to connect. I had to purchase the optic cable, but that was known buying it..

Easy hook upSounds much better than built in TV speakers

If you get it to work, it sounds extremely tinny with absolutely no depth and the EQ settings don't make it any better. Following the instructions to the T doesn't make it work. Days of experimentation finally make it come to life, and then it won't work tomorrow. The requirement to link it to Google Home offers absolutely nothing other than a volume control on your phone. It doesn't reliably join in with the other HDMI equipment, so if you want it to work every time without fuss you must use an optical cable to make it work, which also means you can't use the common remotes to control the volume, etc., thus you always must keep the ridiculous remote it came with to control it separately. Not enough control to set the speakers or the subwoofer to any personalized levels, which is very frustrating since they put out almost no sound - most of the time you don't even know if they are working. Unfortunately, I'm keeping it because someone being a big help has already destroyed the box, and there is a part of me that thinks I might be able to get it to work; if I do I will post a new review.***UPDATE FOR THE NEW YEAR*** If your TV speakers really do a good job and you just want your friends to see you have a soundbar taking up space, then this is the set for you. When it works, it's okay, but most of the time I get frustrated trying to get it to work and just turn the TV speakers back on. You get what you pay for I guess. Next time I'll just go with the Amazon brand - bad idea trying a name I knew.

Returned this item. However aside from no HDMI cable included for the price it has decent sound. Website does not explain the details included very well. Reason for my return.Not a bad deal.

Very impressed! Sounds great! I actually like it better than our Bose sound bar!

Clear sound. I hooked the speaker system up with AUX Audio. (you need to supply the cable) The sound is so clear that for some shows that I could not understand the characters, I can now understand them.
