River float
I haven't opened it up yet but I already have 4 other of them. They are fantastic floats for on the river, lakes, anywhere.

AWWWWW SNAP!!!
I HAD A GREAT TIME IN THIS TUBEI was also admittedly drunk, but whatevs. The river was hella low, and i got stuck on some rocks several times, but this tube was like "AWW NAW HELL NAW" and i just scootched right over top of all them rocks and sticks and nonsense. The cupholders and handles were perfect for my can o' wine and my Nalgene o' Bootlegger. Not gonna lie, I threw up in the river, but I don't blame the tube. A few people had other brands of tubes, and their tubes popped, but luckily, i had brought an extra one of these already inflated. Ironically, these were the same people who were dissin on these vinyl tubes because "canvas wrapped is sooooo much better." WHERE IS YOUR CANVAS GOD NOW??I don't know where the tubes are now, i think they might have gotten thrown into a bonfire, but if i ever feel like pukin in a river again, this will be my method of flotation. It inflated and deflated super fast, but it was bulky to carry back to the pick-up point.Final word -- If you need a tube: BUY THIS JENK RIGHT HEREUPDATE: May 20, 2013 --I STILL STAND BY THIS WHOLE REVIEW.NO REGRETS.Except for the Bootlegger. That was a mistake.I still love these - I got another set of these same tubes after the first ones got burnt up and I will be pukin on the river again this summer.Listen up, because this next bit is important: I didn't realize how truly amazing these Intex River Runs were until i went on an unplanned river day and had to BORROW a tube. It was one of those plain black jobbies. How pedestrian. AND IT WAS HORRIBLE (insert Grumpy Cat face). Those black tubes get sooooo hot. The backs of my thighs and elbows got burnt with the heat of a thousand suns everytime i shifted. I had no backrest so I actually had to HOLD MY OWN HEAD UP the entire trip. That part might sound ridiculous, but compare it like this: lying on the couch vs sitting on one of those exercise ballsto watch TV. And the stupid nozzle groped me in inappropriate places. I don't know how many adult beverages I lost because i didn't have a cupholder or a mesh bottom. We had to hold onto each others shoes because we didn't have the ropes. Everytime we went through any kind of rapids i fell out of my tube because i had no handles. When I fell out one time, I scraped my b-hole on B-Hole Rock (nobody else calls it that, I started calling it that after i scraped my b-hole on it). It made me miss my Intex even more. My first river trip of the year is this coming weekend and I'M SO EXCITEDDDDD to use this tube again.tl;dr: Intex River Run is still my Jam.

A relaxing float on the water
The Intex River Run Inflatable Floating Tube was a great purchase for us last summer for use in our pool. It is very versatile for uses in other water ways to and the quality of the material is top-notch thick and durable, and resistant to punctures. The mesh bottom keeps you cool, while the built-in backrest provides great support for relaxation. Some nice features on this float are the two sturdy handles and grab rope, making it easy to stay connected with friends while floating and also the cup holders keeping drinks secure and within reach. Inflation and deflation are easy thanks to the quick-release value. I believe this is a must have for fun and a comfortable day on the water. I will highly recommend!

Very large and well built tube
After reading the many reviews and seeing these as well as the River Rats (also Intex) at various lakes and rivers, I decided to pick one up. I also picked up the River Run 2 for 2 adults. The River Run is a high quality medium duty River or lake tube. The build is thicker and tougher than a regular swimming pool tube and you notice this right away. The other thing you notice right away is the size. This thing is big for one person. I am 5'7" and when I lay in it, my hands can barely touch the water. When in a lake and drifting, it would be nice to be able to steer a bit with your hands in the water. So for me, maneuverability is just not there. If you want to just float, it is great.Unlike the River Rat, this does not have an empty hole in the bottom of it. It has mesh which is nice for me, but the River Rat was more popular in our group, especially with the grand kids.Where this was real popular for myself was the inflation and deflation of the tube. It uses a standard large nozzle like you would use on an air mattress to sleep on. It is simple and fairly quick to do, especially when you see the size of this. To deflate, you simply unscrew the valve assembly and force out the air. It could not be made simpler. The reason for 4 stars was due to being unable to maneuver this in a lake with your hands. I am taking a paddle out this next week as we camp again and seeing if it is doable. To some, this may be a non-issue but for myself, when I see an area of rocks coming closer, I really do not want to just drift into them and to find out the hard way that one rock may be just pointy enough to POP the River Run. The River Run though does have two air chambers for safety.7/19/14 UPDATE: Just got back from camping and I would upgrade my rating to 4.5 stars if I could. We used it at the lake and i brought along a double end paddle we use for an air filled 2 man boat and it worked decently for maneuverability. Hey, it was not perfect but I was able to go against the current and a light wind to get back to the area we were at after drifting a bit. I did get a bit wet from the paddle as one end is down in the water and it was still a reach to get paddle in the water far enough to do any good, which left the other end was up over me in the air dripping water. This was not a big deal as with the River Run, you are still getting wet as you float where you sit. :)

Big back sister approved
I've had the same two for 2 years and will be adding a third to our family for this season. I'm an XL and fit very comfortable, as well as my little kids in them. We have used in lazy river, river trip down lil rapids, anchor and snack, tow behind kayak and more. They probably get used twice a week all summer long. If the tube is sat in for hours on end I do notice it either deflates a tiny bit or the rubber stretches out a little bit, but nothing to be bothersome. I'm genuinely surprised how durable these have been...
