Great direct replacement for the Dell Optiplex 790 SFF. Runs fine. Can hear fan but it is white noise and okay.

Not to bad to install, space was a little tight to remove wiring. Fired right up. A little humming from fan. My original power supply fan was knocking and clicking.Update, fan still makes a pretty good whirling sound after being installed for over a month.

I had a neighbor's Dell PC fail her. as the saying goes "no good deed goes unpunished" I somehow became obligated to get it working for her.ordered the power supply, it was delivered just a day and a half later, and installed in minutes. incredibly easy to use, works great, brought her PC back to life.Excellent value.

It works, BUT......
Perfect fit. Works fine. Fair price. BUT.... There is NO WAY this devices passes FCC regulations for unwanted electromagnetic interference emission. Many people might not notice but I sure did! It's so bad my AM clock radio IN THE NEXT ROOM is almost unusable with this power supply just plugged in, and the computer off! Turn the computer on and a 50,000 watt AM radio station only 10 miles away gets drowned out with buzzing static! And my intended use for the computer is with my amateur radio station. I can't even begin to explain how much interference it causes on ham radio frequencies!I guarantee, if the FCC were to test this power supply for compliance, this company would be severely fined and forced to take this product off the market! Thankfully, as an electronics engineer, I was able to repair the original Dell power supply which did not have this problem. I will be swapping the repaired original back in and selling this power supply the very first change I get!Buyer beware.
